Maurita Clare Taylor, age 55, of Gainesville passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at her residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, Ga., with Father Brian Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 8, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Miss Taylor was born Dec. 1, 1958, in Gibson City, Ill., to the late Dr. Gregg William Taylor Sr. and the late Margaret Marry Corry Taylor. She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Miss Taylor was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Brian Patrick Taylor.
Miss Taylor is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Gregg William Taylor Jr. and Ann Marie Taylor of Spring Hill, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin Edward Taylor and Patsy Delise Taylor of Clermont, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Maureen Elizabeth and James Madison Buckner of Gainesville, Ga.; niece, Cassandra Taylor; nephews, Matthew Taylor, Gregg Taylor III, Mark Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Andrew Buckner and Sean Taylor; great-nephews, Austin Taylor and Brian Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to St. Coleta School of Wisconsin, N4637 County Road Y, Jefferson, WI 53549.
