Frances Timberlake Crosby, age 86, of Clarkesville, Ga., passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014.
Mrs. Crosby was born on March 4, 1928, in Florence, Ala.; daughter of the late Lewis Timberlake and Gertrude Timberlake O'Steen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Oscar David Crosby; he was a retired minister from Clarkesville First United Methodist Church and was a member of North Georgia Methodist Conference. Mrs. Crosby was a loving, dedicated, and loyal minister's wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Crosby Pierce and Paul A. Pierce; sisters-in-law, Martha "Tittoo" Timberlake, Betty Crosby; brother, Lewis Timberlake; granddaughter, Courtney Elizabeth Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest, Ga., with the Rev. James Turpen Sr. and the Rev. Brian Butler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:45 p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Ga., on Sunday, May 18, 2014.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarkesville First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 365, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
