Bernice Justus Latimer Crowe, age 95, of Gainesville passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 6, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Crowe was born March 25, 1919, in Clayton, Ga., to the late Lex Jackson Justus and Della King Justus. She was retired from Saul's Department Store and was of the Baptist faith. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, J.S. Latimer; her second husband, Fred A. Crowe; four brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Crowe is survived by her sister, Betty Robinson; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Diana Latimer of Gainesville and Sam and Olga Latimer of Dunwoody; four grandchildren, Lisa and Joe W. Waldrop of Gainesville, Chris and Pam Latimer of Clermont, Sherry and Per Meek of Norcross and Susan and Matt Caseman of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Justus Venable of Lilburn, Zac Venable of Gainesville, Coby Venable of Atlanta, Malissa, Mariana and Madilyn Latimer, all of Clermont, Ryan and Devin Meek, both of Norcross, and Charlie and Owen Caseman, both of Atlanta; stepchildren, Barbara Little of Oakwood, Fred Crowe Jr. of Florida and Donald Crowe of Louisiana; four stepgrandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Dogwood Forest for their care and kindness.
