Mrs. Mamie Estelle Emmons, 90, of Gainesville died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Autumn Breeze Assisted Living.

Born in Brantley, Ala., Mrs. Emmons was the daughter of the late William and Tollie Benbow Gallops. She was a former resident of Brunswick, Ga., from 1958 until 2012, when she moved to Gainesville, Ga., to be close to her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Carol Rattary, Bogart, Ga.; Sandra Emmons House, Gainesville, Ga.; sons, William Lawrence Emmons, Dickinson, Texas, and James Robert Emmons, Fredricia, Del.; sister, Syble Poss, Pace, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Emmons is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Emmons; daughter, Laura Estelle Weems; and son, Harry Lynn Emmons.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Ted Garner will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Milton Cemetery in Milton, Fla.
