Obituary Condolences

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Raymon George Rich, age 84, of Oakwood. The Rev. Mike Williams, the Rev. David Meacham and the Rev. Jimmy Hudson will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Rich passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Rich was born in Hall County to the late Maude and George P. Rich. He was a charter member of Pine Crest Baptist Church. He was a Korean War veteran and had worked as a sales rep for 32 years for Nabisco. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Evelyn Martin Rich; and brothers, Byron Rich and Ralph Rich. Along with having many extended family members and friends, Raymon will be remembered for always having a joke to tell you and his smile.

Surivors include, daughter, Sharon Rich, Oakwood; son, Benny Rich, South Carolina; son and fiance, Robert Rich and Terrie Cantrell, Oakwood; son, Chris Rich, Charlotte, N.C.; grandsons, Caleb Rich, Derek Rich, Tony Rich, Terry Rich; granddaughter, Mallory Rich; sister, Eudean Hudson, Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Pine Crest Baptist Church Building Fund, 2520 Mountain View Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 115, Gainesville, GA 30501.
