Obituary Condolences

Mr. Donald H. Graff, age 80, of Gainesville, Ga., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday Sept. 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. David Beville will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Don Graff was born on March 5, 1934, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Cletus Joseph Graff and Esther Nelson Graff. He is preceded in death by his beloved sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Sara Walsh Graff. Don was a trusted and respected general and carpenter contractor in both Arlington Heights, Ill., and Gainesville for 35 years. He was also a devoted member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan Graff and Joseph McCarthy of Atlanta; daughter, Mary Beth Graff of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Graff Thomas and Michael Thomas of Roswell, Ga.; son, Donald A. Graff of Lawrenceville; son and daughter-in-law, James and Laura Graff of Oakwood; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angela Graff of Atlanta; grandchildren, Brandon Deihl, Elle Pressly, Clayton Graff, Andrew Deihl, Michael Thomas, Claire Graff, Nina Graff, Beth Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Nicholas Graff, Lexi, Sara, Avery, Ellis, and Reagan Graff; sister, Marilyn Hage of Mount Prospect, Ill.; brother, Robert Graff of Park Ridge, Ill.; and his beloved dog, Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution to Trinity Presbyterian Church., 2023 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Ga.
