William "Bill" Nathaniel Jones, age 82, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. James McNeal will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 2:30–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Gainesville, Ga., to the late, Arthur Jones and Myrtie Cagle Jones. He was retired from Wallace Sheet Metal, and was a member of Mayfield Baptist Church. Bill was a former member of Clermont City Council, and was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Louise Thomas and Beatrice Mullinax.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanee Pinson Jones, Gainesville; daughter, Debbie Howard, Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-laws, Mike and Debbie Jones, and Tim and Connie Jones, all of Gainesville; grandsons and their wives, Billy and Stacey Jones, Gainesville; Chance and Christina Jones, Gainesville; and Nick and Amy Howard, Lawrenceville; great-grandson, Peyton Jones; great-granddaughters, Alyssa Jones and Gabriella Jones.
