Darlious Bandy, 79, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 2, 2013 at Shelby Pointe.
She was born Sept. 17, 1933, to the late Bessie (Whitt) and Walter McKinley Blankenship.
Her family, especially her grandchildren, were most important in her life. Hosting holiday celebrations with her extended family were a special joy.
Darlious enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales, listening to country music and was an avid reader.
Survivors include four sons, Ernie (Gina) Bandy, Jeff (Brenda) Bandy, Jerry (Cory) Bandy and Rick (Belinda) Bandy, all of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Nichole, Angela, Rob, Jeremy, Allie, Aaron, Melody and Rachelle; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Blankenship of Richmond, Va., and Jay Blankenship of Mansfield; two sisters, Margaret Brown of Mansfield and Doris Houchins of Richlands, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Bandy; son, Michael Bandy; three brothers, Buford, John and Walt Blankenship; and two sisters, Mary Whitcomb and Judy Milligan.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Glenn Phillips at the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial followed in Mansfield Memorial Park.
