Jack Bolen, 64, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Jack was born in Carroll County to the late Garfield and Imo Bolen.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Bolen.
Jack retired form Volvo Truck Plant in Dublin, Va., after 23 years.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Christine Frazier Bolen; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Bolen Cheeks and husband Ronnie of Galax; brothers and sisters-in-law, E.G. and Linda Bolen, Curtis Bolen, the Rev. Ray and Irene Bolen and Virgil Bolen, all of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Mike Clontz of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Farmer Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m.
