Leo Jackson Weaver, 73, of Troutdale, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 5, 1939, at Grassy Creek, N.C., to the late Ray Weaver and Lockie Fox Weaver.
He was predecased by his wife, Minnie Billings Weaver.
Survivors include a son, David Leo Weaver of Saltville; five granddaughters; two grandsons; six great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Belva Billings of Troutdale; sister-in-law, Gearldine Murray of Troutdale; and three brothers-in-law, Louis Billings of Sugar Grove, Bob Billings of Troutdale and Harold Billings of Greenville, SC.
A funeral was held at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday at the Comers Creek Baptist Church, Troutdale, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tim Barr and the Rev. Ken Riggins officiated.
Military rites were conducted by Grayson VFW
Post 7726. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, was in charge of arrangements.
