Mavis Darlene McGrady, 57, of Asheboro, N.C., died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro, N.C.
McGrady was born April 10, 1957, the daughter of Rush and Arleta Quesinberry McGrady.
McGrady was a native of Radford, Va., and a graduate of Asheboro High School in 1975.
She was formerly employed with Harris Covington, Mfg. of High Point. Darlene enjoyed music, traveling and her pets.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Bryan Glenn McGrady and his wife, Dawn of Asheboro, N.C.; a granddaughter, Daryan McGrady of Asheboro, N.C.; two brothers, Edward Wayne McGrady and his wife, Allene of Randleman, N.C., and Rush Benton McGrady of Trenton, N.J.; aunt, Carol Spence of Hillsville, Va.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family received friends Tuesday, May 6, 2014, from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, N.C., with the Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating.
A graveside service will be held today, Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Isaac Quesinberry Semones Cemetery, Hillsville, Va., at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel, 1035 North Main Street, Hillsville, Va., from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.
