Willette Johnson Horne, better known as Billie, 86, of Independence, Va., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1926, at Independence, Va., to the late George Alexander Johnson and Alma Howard Johnson.
She was the widow Willie D. Horne.
Survivors include a stepdaughter and husband, Phyllis and Earl Johnson of White Plains, N.Y.; step-grandson, Xavier Johnson, step-granddaughter, Xman Johnson, both of White Plains, N.Y.; two sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Johnson of Columbus, Ohio and Mae Lois Cousette of Marvin, N.C.; a special niece, Marilyn Smith of the home; other special nieces, great-nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence, Va. Bishop Charles Millner will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time for the funeral service. Interment will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, N.J.
Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va., and Perry Funeral Home, Newark, N.J., were in charge of arrangements.
