Wilma White Gunter(1926 - 2014)

Wilma White Gunter, 88, of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 10, 1926, in McDowell County, W.Va.
Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, church sister and had many wonderful friends.
She was a graduate of Hillsville High School Class of 1944, member of Shiloh United Methodist Church on Airport Road, Hillsville, Va., and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 1115.
Wilma was the daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle Goad White.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Alfred Gunter; brother, Delano White; and niece, Susan Rice.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Harold Kuhn of Southern Shores, N.C.; sister, Oleda E. White of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and Mary White of Hillsville; sister-in-law, Lennis White of Strasburg, Va.; niece, Kimberly Foltz of Winchester; special family friend, Marie Blankenship of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren and spouse, Cheryl and Charles Cole and Traci Ogorchock; six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Rebecca, Caitlin and Wyatt Cole and Kayla and Zachary Ogorchock, all of Chesapeake, Va.; and great-nephews, Chris Rice and Danny, Jeremiah and Luke Foltz.
Visitation was at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsville, Va., from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Shiloh United Methodist Church on Airport Road with the Rev. Ray Bolen, Pastor Chip Neely, and the Rev. Rich Mullan officiating. Interment will follow in the White-Allen Cemetery located at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
