Charles H. Parsons, 71, of Mouth of Wilson, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at his home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1941, in Ashe County, N.C., to Clarence Parsons and Irene Eller Parsons.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma K. Parsons of the home; son, Michael Parsons of Warrensville, N.C.; daughter and husband, Amanda and Gerald Hooks of Wilmington, N.C.; two grandchildren; sister, Mauvine Shepherd of Lansing, N.C.; mother-in-law, Lena Kiser of Mouth of Wilson; and two nieces and one nephew.
A funeral was held Friday at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, with the Rev. Larry Shepherd, the Rev. Dennis Eller, the Rev. Jim Greer and the Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. Burial followed in Corinth Cemetery in Rugby.
