Cynthia Donnelly, 97, was born on Dec. 13, 1916, in New York City, the daughter of Marjorie Hooker Hathaway and Harrison Rountree Hathaway.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Pinckney Donnelly.
Survivors include sons, Charles Pinckney Donnelly III and wife his wife, Martha and Harrison Hathaway Donnelly and his wife, Katherine, all of Washington D.C.; daughter, Ellin-Kelly Donnelly Price and husband, Dr. James Price, of Nashville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
As were her wishes, the body has been donated to the Anatomical Donation Program at Vanderbilt University Medical School.
A memorial service will be held at St. George's Episcopal Church in Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Rector's Fund at St. George's Episcopal Church, Harding Road, St. George's Episcopal Church or to the Cynthia Donnelly Fund at the Galax Public Library.
