Dallice Lew Ayers (1939 - 2018)


Dallice Lew Ayers, 78, of Fries, died Friday, April 6, 2018, in Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, N.C.
He was born Nov. 3, 1939, at Galax, to Alex Ayers and Lelia Bowers Ayers.
Survivors include his wife, Nola Ayers of the home; son and spouse, Jamie and Christi Ayers of Galax; stepson and spouse, Robert and Karen Sapp of Lafayette, Tenn.; step-daughter and spouse, Michelle and Roger Lewis of Independence; two sisters, Wilma Rakes of Woodlawn and Faye Teague of Bel Air, Md.; a brother and spouse, Larry and Sandy Ayers of Galax;  brother-in-law, Jackie Blevins of Elk Creek; sister-in-law and spouse, Opal and Tommy Godsey of Independence; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held April 9, 2018, in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence. The Rev. Darrell Melton and the Rev. Garry Adams officiated.  Burial was in Sixteen Acre Fellowship Cemetery, Elk Creek. Military rites were conducted by Grayson County VFW Post 7726.
