Dorothy Evelyn Primm Edwards, 101 years 8 months, of Hillsville died Oct. 9, 2012.
She was born in Wythe County on Feb. 12, 1911, to Charlie Morgan Primm and Evie Primm.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Gleaves Walker Edwards of Woodlawn.
Survivors include daughter, Merle E. Goad of Hillsville; a grandson; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter and spouse; a great-grandson; sister-in-law, Annie C. Primm; brother-in-law, Clarence Burnette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. The family will be gathering at the home of Kathy Nester, 4330 Double Cabin Road, Hillsville.
