Fay Estell Leagan Luper, 82, of Fries, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the home of her daughter.
She was born on June 16, 1931, in Wythe County, to William Glenn and Ruby Irene Brammer Leagan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Scott Luper.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Fay Luper; sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy Scott Luper and Jonathan and Karen Davis Luper, all of Fries; two grandchildren; an honorary grandson; half-brother and his wife, J.R. and Shirley Leagan of Austinville; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Providence United Methodist Church with Thomas William Lobdell officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
