Horace P. Larrowe, 92, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Va.

Larrowe was born Dec. 27, 1919, in Carroll County, Va., to Erritt Heath and Susannah Hill Larrowe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Hanks Larrowe; sister, June Larrowe; and brothers, Wayne LaRue, Dale LaRue, Howard Larrowe and Dean Larrowe.
Larrowe proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. His love of his country was reflected in his everyday life as a farmer with his great appreciation for the land and nature.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Carroll and Christine Larrowe and Wake and Brenda Larrowe, all of Woodlawn, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Rubie Larrowe and Colene Larrowe, also of Woodlawn, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Rebecca Cooke.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vinton Quesenberry officiating. Interment followed in the Oakland Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. Tuesday until time for the service at the funeral home.
