Lessie Alma Taylor, 82, of Fries, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in the Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba County in Newton, N.C.
She was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Grayson County, to Grover Cleveland Clyburn and Flora Margaret Phibbs Clyburn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Melvin Alley of Taylorsville, N.C.; two grandsons and their wives; a great-grandson; three great-granddaughters; a brother, Jerry Clyburn of Fries; sisters-in-law, Patsy Clyburn and Opal Clyburn, both of Fries; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy. Burial followed in the Mount Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
