Linton Bryant Andrews, 77, of Independence, Va., passed away Dec. 26, 2012, at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Va.
He was born Aug. 4, 1935, at Galax to the late Walter G. Andrews Sr., and Anna Bagwell Andrews.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Sue Harris Andrews of the home; two daughters, Ramona Andrews of Wytheville, Va., and Robin Sykes and husband, Tony of Fancy Gap, Va.; two very special grandsons, Darin Steele Sykes and Gabriel (Gabe) Bryant Sykes; one brother, Walter G. Andrews Jr., of Hillsville, Va.; sisters-in-law, Mae Hoffman of Newport News, Va., and Mabel Crawley of Campbellsville, Ky.; brothers-in-law and spouses, Bert and Sue Harris of Piney Creek, N.C., and Olen and Shirley Harris of Glade Valley, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Betty Jo (Bill) Carpenter of Lexington, Ky., and W. G. Andrews III and Jill of Charlotte, N.C., Annabelle (Mike) Forbes of Princeton, W.Va., and Dr. Dan (Jerry) McCarter of Charlottesville, Va.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Glade Valley Presbyterian Church, Glade Valley, N.C. The Rev. Duane Steele officiated.
