Nancy J. Woodard, 66, of Galax, Va., passed away April 6, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

She was born April 10, 1946, at Baywood, Va., to William L Cheeks and Louise Edwards Cheeks.
She was the widow of Charles J. Woodard.
She was manager of the Pizza Hut in Hillsville, Va.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Richard Worrell of Hillsville; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sherry Rorabaugh of Appomattox; mother, Louise Cheeks of Independence; four step-children and spouses, James and Martie Halford of Cordele, Ga,, Rachael and R.J. Austin of Unadilla, Ga., Charlotte and Brian Curp of Cordele, Ga., and Richie King of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Linda Cheeks of Mount Airy, Md., and Roger and Teresa Cheeks of Hertford, N.C.; 14 granddaughters; 10 grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Saddle Creek Church, Independence, Va. The Rev. Robert Cheeks and the Rev. Myron Dalton officiated. Interment was in Saddle Creek Cemetery.
