Ralph Dean Russell, 67, of Radford, and Comers Rock, Va., passed away April 8, 2013, at the home of his daughter and son-in-love, Tammy and Quintin McClellan
Ralph was born Sept. 21, 1945, at Flat Ridge, Va., to Paul Kirk Russell and Beulah Magnus Fielder Russell.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by Alice, his sister; Edward, his brother; and by Betty Russell, his sister-in-love.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include son, Kirk Russell; daughter and son-in-love, Tammy and Quintin McClellan; grandchildren, Champ, Kylie, Will, Micaiah, Isaiah, Dakota and Idelette; brother, James Russell; sister and brother-in-love, Logene and Emmit Anders; brother and sister-in-love, Ted and Mary Alice Russell; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in Comers Rock Cemetery, Elk Creek, Va. Pastor David Vance officiated. Military rites conducted by Grayson County VFW Post 7726.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the graveside service.
