Sena Goss Lawson, 90, who resided in Fountain Hills, Ariz., formerly of Pulaski, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, for her Heavenly home and to be reunited with her loving husband, Roy.

She was born in Galax, Va., on Nov. 19, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Greeley and Vina Goss of Galax.
Ms. Lawson was a Galax resident until 1969 when she and her late husband, Royall Porter Lawson, moved to Pulaski.
Ms. Lawson worked for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department as magistrate until her retirement in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Estes of Greensboro, N.C., and her husband, Ed and Pat Mielke of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and her husband, John, four grandchildren, Matthew Mielke of Boston, Maine and Stephanie Thornlow, Michelle Romano and Amanda Estes of Greensboro, N.C., and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas and Caden all of Greensboro.
Sena was a loving mother and devoted wife. Over the years, one of her greatest joys were her many dogs who provided her with much enjoyment and comfort.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Pulaski with the Rev. James Cates of Greensboro, N.C., officiating. Entombment followed in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin, Va.
A celebration of her life was held Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
