Sheree Lynn Wade Poe, 56, of Martinsville, Va., passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
Sheree was born on June 20, 1960, in Galax, Va., to Norene Wade of Martinsville and the late Ivan E. Wade.
She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father in-law, Fairy and Gordon Poe.
For over 16 years, Sheree was the director of music and served with her husband, Jackie as youth pastors in the youth ministry at Cliffview Church of God. She also served with her husband as youth pastors at Riveroak Church of God, Danville, Va., for five years.
For the past 17 years she has acted as co-pastor of The Church At Mercy Crossing and served on the praise and worship team. She served on the board of the VA Church of God Women's Ministry for several terms.
Survivors include her husband, Jackie Poe of Martinsville; sisters, Pattie Hebert and husband Mark of Pittsboro, N.C., and Donna Carter and husband Chris of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, David E. Wade of Galax, Va.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randy and Cindy Poe and Bev and Clink Funk; nieces and nephews, Jody and Lynn Funk, Micah and Leasa Poe, Mandy and Dom Vivelo, Jacob and Kelly Goad, Marshall and Lauren Wade, Brandy Wright and Haleigh Wright; great-nieces and nephews, Austin and Kayleigh Funk, Olivia Wade, Landan Goad and Cody Vivelo; and a great-niece and nephew on the way.
The funeral service was on Monday at 6 p.m. on Jan. 30, 2017, at Mercy Crossing with Dr. Tim Hill, Pastor Tim Nuckles and Pastor Tony Capps officiating. Visitation was on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church and other times at the home. Burial was at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Cranberry Road, Woodlawn, Va.
Memorials may be made in honor of Sheree Poe to Mercy Crossing for the extravagant love she showed everyone, 1978 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, Va/ 24112.

At church Sunday, we learnd about the passing of Sheree. Sorry to hear this. She was a wonderful lady and a blessing to our lives. We never forget you both.
