Aplas, Mary F. - Galion  
Mary F. Aplas, age 98 of Wooster and former Galion resident passed away Wednesday evening, April 29, 2015 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster. She had been a resident there since June 2014. She was born September 20, 1916 in Sterling, Colorado and was the daughter of Homer and Elva (Kelly) Kelly. On August 1, 1943 Mary married Robert Aplas in Brownwood, Texas and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2001. Mary was 1934 graduate of Galion High School and member of the former First United Methodist Church, now Christ United Methodist Church in Galion. She worked as a beautician for many years. Mary was a life member of the AMVETS Polk Township Post 1979 auxiliary, American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4329 auxiliary all of Galion. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed participating in bowling leagues. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Sue & David Fleiner of Bluffton, SC; her daughter-in-law and husband, Suellen and Ed Flynn of Wooster; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a special friend Ron Hedges of Galion. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, William Charles ""Bill"" Aplas; her three brothers, Rex, Ralph and Clyde Kelly and her two sisters, Faye Lauer and Wilma Beyer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market Street Galion, with Rev. Jerry Penrod officiating. Braden, Mabel L. - Galion  
Mabel L. Braden, 70, of Galion, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Galion Community Hospital, Galion. Mabel was born in Galion on March 22, 1945 to the late Howard and Margaret (Hoose) Braden. Mabel was a graduate of Iberia High School. She was retired from HPM, Mt. Gilead after 30 years. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Mabel was a volunteer for over 10 years for the American Red Cross, Morrow County Chapter. She enjoyed cross stitching and quilting. She is survived by her two nieces: Ronda & Scott Weisman, Mansfield and Tammy & Matt Powers, Shiloh, her three great nephews Richard & Patsy Green, Salem, AL, and Dylan & Dustin Powers, Shiloh; her great-great nephews Ayden Green and Mason Green and her great-great niece Kennadi Green. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers Howard Braden, Jr and Ralph Braden; her brother Harold Braden and her sister Ruth Braden. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Dave Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion. David E. DeNise, age 42 of Galion, passed away Thursday morning, May 21, 2015 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Keller, Gene L. - Orlando  
Gene L. Keller, 78, of Orlando, FL, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer. Born April 13, 1937 in Galion, he was the son of Gerald and Reva (Price) Keller. He married Beverly E. (Kerr) Keller on November 29, 1959. She preceded him in death. Gene graduated from Galion High School in 1955, and served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He was a long-time member of Galion First United Methodist Church. He worked for Eagle Crusher before joining North Electric as a Mechanical Engineer. He later went to work as a salesman for Peabody Galion, with whom he was transferred to the Atlanta area in 1977. He is survived by his son, Scott (Karen) Keller of Fayetteville, GA, and daughter Leigh (Ray) Sandridge of Monroe, GA; grandsons Joshua (Amanda) Keller of Fayetteville, GA and Matthew (Anna) Foldenauer of Raeford, NC; granddaughters Alison (Jon) Sellers and Jillian (Cody) Haralson, both of Senoia, GA; great-grandchildren Ansleigh and Jack Keller, Austin, Colton and Easton Sellers, Mason and Wyatt Foldenauer; and Canaan Haralson; sister-in-law Linda Keller of Bucyrus, and nieces Traci (Eric) Brandt of Pataskala, OH and Emily (Mark) Hay of Gahanna, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John A. Keller of Bucyrus. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced at Fairview Cemetery where he will be interred along side his wife.

Morris, Gloria Jean (Rees - Harding) - Bucyrus  
Gloria Jean Morris, 82, of Bucyrus passed away Friday morning, May 22, 2015 at Altercare of Bucyrus under the care of HomeCare Matters Hospice. She was born on July 26, 1932 in Bridgeport, Ohio to Evan and Olive (Harding) Rees. After her parents' untimely deaths when she was an infant, Gloria was adopted by her maternal grandparents, Jacob and Carrie Mae (Sloan) Harding who also preceded her in death. Gloria graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1950 and married her classmate, Ron Morris on August 18, 1951 and moved to Crawford County shortly thereafter when Ron began working for Swan Hose. They shared nearly 37 years of marriage until his death in June 1988. Gloria and Ron were blessed with two sons, Kim, who died in 2009, and Randy Morris and his wife, Debbie who live near Atlanta, Georgia. Also surviving are her grandson, Steven Morris, and granddaughter, Sheri Wilson and her husband, Kenny along with two great grandsons, Evan Morris and Nick Wilson. Gloria also will be missed by two "lifetime" friends, Valdoris Reese and Pat Grover. In addition to her parents, husband and son, Gloria was preceded in death by brothers, Paul E. Harding, E. Paul Rees and Kenneth Rees. Gloria will be remembered as a happy person who loved to laugh and learn new things and was always willing to help others in need. She was a member of the former Epworth UMC. Her family would like to extend a special thank you for the care given by the HomeCare Matters Hospice staff. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26 in Galion's Fairview Cemetery with Chaplain Brandon Quail officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or HomeCare Matters Hospice and sent to Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
