Brovont, Ernest "Ernie" V. - Galion  
Ernest "Ernie" V. Brovont, 89, of rural Galion passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born September 5, 1926 in Elkhart, Indiana he was the son of Tobias and Laura (Petry) Brovont. He married Neva (Brogan) Brovont on February 20, 1949 and they enjoyed 67 years together. Ernie served in the United States Army in Korea during World War II. He retired from General Motors in Mansfield after a 30 year career and was a past member of the Iberia Volunteer Fire department. He served on the Morrow County Service Board for over 30 years. Ernie was a lifetime member of Mt. Gilead AMVETS, the American Legion where he was a past Post Commander at Iberia and Cardington and was past Post Commander of the 6th district. He was an organizer of the Morrow County Veterans Monument in Mt. Gilead and went on the Honor Flight 2008 to Washington, D.C. Ernie liked hunting, farming, traveling, golfing, dominoes and bowling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Thomas (Jean) Brovont of Decatur, Indiana, Ronald (Wanda) Brovont of Lyons, Nebraska, Barbara (Frank) Hansen of Ontario, Brian (Terri) Brovont of Norfolk, Nebraska and Brenda (Timothy) Potter of Galion; 27 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and sister Rosa Wilcox of Sturgis, South Dakota. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Iberia United Methodist Church, 3664 State Route 309, Galion, Ohio 44833 with Pastor Pat Fruth officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and VFW Post 8054 Military Funeral Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to Iberia United Methodist Church or Morrow County Veterans Council in care of the funeral home. Eckstein, Trudy L. - Galion  
Trudy L. Eckstein, 63, of Galion, passed away suddenly Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her home. Trudy was born in Galion on October 15, 1952 to the late Philip Albert Dill and Mary Kathryn (Chambers) Dill, of Galion. On September 3, 1977, she married Steven D. Eckstein. Their infant daughter, Heather Marie, was stillborn on January 22, 1982. In April of 1984, the couple adopted twin daughters Andrea and Anastasia and thereafter, she became a stay-at-home mother to two beautiful little girls. She enjoyed reading, counter cross-stitching, country decorating, and spoiling her grandchildren. Trudy was a member of the Calvary United Church of Christ of Crestline as well. In addition to her infant daughter, she was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband and her daughters, her eight grandchildren Skyler Lamb, Kaitlyn Schlote, Brayden Schlote, Conner Lamb, Owen Schlote, Tanner Lamb, Madison Schlote, and Rylan Shepherd. She is also survived by her mother, her brother Philip Dill, Ontario, and her sister, Linda Moyer, Lucas. Private services will be held at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Crestline.

Henkel, Leslie L.  
Leslie L. Henkel, 53, of Galion, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2016, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She was born December 28, 1962, in Galion and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Henkel and Arlene (Kent) Henkel of Galion. Leslie graduated from Galion High School in 1981 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galion. She enjoyed sewing. In addition to her mom, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Nanette (Whit) Martin of Crestline. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunda, June 26, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 291 N. Union Street, Galion, Ohio 44833 with Pastor Anne Pairan officiating. Humberson, Lois E.  
Lois E. Humberson, 76, of Galion, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her home after a long illness. Lois was born in Confluence, PA, on June 10, 1940, to the late John and Agnes (Humberson) Holliday. She married Wade R. Humberson on December 31, 1950, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1992. Lois was employed by Galion Community Hospital as a Registered Nurse and retired with over 30 years of service. Lois loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her close friends. She loved birds, flowers, playing cards and enjoyed visiting Las Vegas. She is survived by her children; Carmela J. Allen, Marion, Kevin E. (Angie) Humberson, Galion, Patrick W. (Julie) Humberson, Galion, Vicki (Greg) Humberson-Burns, Graniteville, GA, her son-in-law John Roser, Frazeysburg, her eight grandchildren; Katie Fortney, Kristofer Roser, Rachel Hufnagel, Joel Humberson, Joshua Humberson, Kayla Humberson, Sean Burns, Kyle Burns, two great-grandchildren and her sister; Laura Faye (Roger) Hoover, Addison, PA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John K. Holliday. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Addison Cemetery, Addison, PA. The Mark A. Little, Ray - Galion  
Ray Little, 79, Galion, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Galion Community Hospital, Galion. Ray was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on October 2, 1936, to the late Roy and Ester (Lopeman) Little. He was married to Vikki L. Busler for 23 years and she survives him. Ray started his career with General Motors at Lordstown and came to the Ontario plant in 1983 as a Tool and Die Maker. He retired with 27 years of service. Ray served his country in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, serving during the Korean War. Ray was a lifetime member of the VFW, Post #7651, Ontario and Amvets Post #1979, Crestline. He is survived by his wife Vikki, his daughters; Sheila and Steve Hill, Mt. Gilead, Sherri and Chris Miller, Delaware, Sharisse and Shawn Yirga, Lucas, his son; Michael Smith of West Virginia and his six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son. The Mark A.
