Connie L. Patterson, 64, of Marysville died Sunday evening at Riverside Hospital in Columbus after a brief illness. She was employed by the City of Marysville as Clerk of Council for the past 14 years. She was formerly employed by Tappan/Frigidaire for 20 years before working for the city. She loved camping with family & friends, flowers & gardening, her cats, and especially loved traveling to the different Caribbean islands with her husband. Connie was born June 11, 1950 in Marion to the late Bernard and Glenna Swisher Lucas. She married Donald Patterson August 1, 1970 at the St. Pauls Methodist Church in Galion. She is survived by her husband of almost 44 years, Donald; their daughters, Rachel (Larry) Stover, Becky Patterson both of Marysville; a granddaughter, Kendal; twin sister and best friend, Cathy (Denny) Barnes of Medina; brothers, Mike (Marilyn) Lucas of Crestline, Mark (Marlene) Lucas of Upper Sandusky; and many nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be held from 4-8pm Wednesday at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday with the Rev. James Taylor officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Loving Care Hospice or the Union County Humane Society in care of the funeral home. Joyce I. Tucker, 79, of Galion, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at home surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Joyce was born in Galion on September 17, 1934 to the late Cecil and Velma (Poth) Wilson. She married James E. Tucker on March 6, 1965 and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2014. She was retired from the former North Electric and PECO in Galion. She had previously worked as a Nurses Aid at the former Atwood Nursing Home, Galion. Joyce enjoyed camping and watching sports including her teams, the Cleveland Indians and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: C. Thomas & Lydia Bauer, Troy, William M. Bauer, Galion, Christopher M. & Debbie Bauer, Galion, Debra K. Dicus, Galion and Robert & Melinda Bauer, Galion, her seventeen grandchildren, her twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her two granddaughters, her sister Jacqueline Young and her brother Russell Wilson. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Deacon William Horning officiating. Timothy Allen Norris, 62, of Mansfield passed away Saturday July 12, 2014 at home following a courageous battle with lung cancer. The son of Jeremiah Albert and Thelma Mae (Byron) Norris, Tim was born December 2, 1951 in Sandusky and was graduated from Sandusky Perkins high school. Tim was honorably discharged after serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. An automotive technician, Tim worked for car dealerships for most of his life, and beginning in 1994 he worked as a technician for Mansfield Motor Group. A talented self-taught musician, Tim loved playing the guitar as well as the piano, drums and harmonica. His favorite music genres were classic rock and country including the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. Charismatic, Tim was constantly playing practical jokes…and everyone was fair game to be on the receiving end. Tim is survived by his son Timothy Andrew (Randi) Norris of Mansfield, daughter Victoria (Chad) Norris-Diez of Long Beach, California; grandchildren Kennedi and Gaven Norris and Charlie and Henry Norris-Diez; siblings Diane (Roy) Eversole of Mansfield, Debbie (Steve) Best of Texas, and Ronnie (Jane) Norris of Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Terry Norris. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:30 am in the sanctuary at New Life Nazarene Church, 1122 Grace Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44905. Pastor Brandon Quail will officiate. Military honors performed by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will follow.
