Betty Jane Cronenwett, 91, of Galion, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, Mar. 22, 2013 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion after failing health.
Born Nov. 26, 1921 in Crestline, she was the daughter of the late George Hartman and Ruth (Fischer) Hartman Morrow. She was preceded in death on Sept. 25, 2010 by her husband of 69 years, Gene William Cronenwett, whom she married on May 29, 1941.
She was a graduate of Crestline High School in 1939, was a dedicated, caring homemaker and attended Grace Brethren Church in Galion in her later years. A woman of strong faith, Betty found strength in Psalm 91, which was her promise of protection because she put her trust in the Lord. She was a true ambassador for Christ. Betty ran the race and finished strong.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Lou and Les Piroska of Mansfield, Shelly Lynn and Dan Beach of Galion and Marcia DeAnn and Dave Scott of Florida. one son and daughter-in-law, Garry Eugene and Junko Cronenwett of Arizona; eight grandchildren, Sherri (Jerry) Collins, Corina (Matt) Hallam, Donald (Jenni) Huffman, Brianne (Jonathan) Kateule, Betsianne Beach, Karli (Tim) Freeman, Hannah Scott and Jilly Scott; 10 great-grandchildren, Cody (McKala) Collins, Tiffany Collins, Allen and Alex Sherrell, Anthony Wahl, Allison King, Logan Huffman, Collin Huffman, KuTanga Kateule and Cubo Kateule and one brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Mary Jo Morrow of Findlay.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, William Gene Cronenwett.
Betty and her family were grateful to the staff at Magnolia Terrace and HomeCare Matters Hospice for their compassionate care and loving kindness.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 26, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 27 with Pastor Jeff Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
