Catherine "Cathy" E. Haga, 82, of Galion, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at The Ohio State University
Wexner Medical Center in Columbus after a short illness.
Born March 2, 1931 in Urbana, she was the daughter of Raymond and Mary Ellen (Knear) Young.
Cathy was a graduate of Crestline High School in 1949 and worked over 20 years at the former North Electric Company and ITT Company in Galion retiring when they closed. Cathy enjoyed sewing, quilting and traveling to Amish country. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Vicki Haga of Galion, Becky and Tom Kriegel of Galion and Tammy and Randy Branam of Lexington; son and daughter-in-law Ron and B.J. Haga of Aurora, Missouri; grandchildren Dawn Michelle Sutton, Sheri Lynn Haga, Mary Elizabeth Borders, Adam Eric Branam, Amy Nicole Branam, Lindsey Gabriella Branam, James Darwin Comer and Jamie Neal Bridges; 11 great-grandchildren, sister Josephine Perry of Crestline and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son Gary William Haga, daughter Linda Lee Haga, brother Raymond Eugene Young and granddaughter Jessie Leigh Bridges.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 27 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
