Marsha A. Silverwood, 56, of Crestline, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Galion Community Hospital, Galion. She has been in declining health in recent years.
Marsha was born in Delaware on October 12, 1956 to James N. Silverwood and Lois (Howard) Silverwood. Her mother preceded her in death on May 3, 2009. She is survived by her father James N. and his wife Shirley Silverwood, Crestline.
Marsha has lived in Crestline since she was an infant. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Crestline. She had been Auditor for the City of Crestline for fifteen years. Starting in high school as a Pioneer Joint Vocational School student, she worked for the City of Crestline all her working life. Music was a significant part of her life, especially Christian music. Prior to losing her health, Marsha was an active member of her church. She taught Sunday school, played piano and organ for the church choir, which her father directed. She loved children and focused her attention on school age children in Sunday school. Her family was an important part of her life. She was proud of her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father and his wife, Marsha is survived by her sister and two brothers: Sheryl and George Beach, Newark, Mark A. and Patricia Silverwood, Crestline, Michael and Rechelle Silverwood, Trussville, AL, her nieces and nephews: John and Danielle Beach, Jason Beach, Mark B. Silverwood, Jeffrey Silverwood, M. Brandon Silverwood, Lauren Silverwood, Kaitlin Silverwood, and eight great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, July 26, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Chris Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
