Sarah Priscilla Black, 99, of Galion, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at Galion Pointe Nursing Center in Galion.
Born Nov. 29, 1912 in Floyd County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Nancy (Cox) Quesenberry. She was preceded in death on Aug. 3, 1970 by her husband, Walter Black whom she married on June 18, 1932.
She was a member of the Crossway Assembly of God in Galion where she was previously very active and enjoyed singing at church. She was a homemaker and did housekeeping for various families in the Galion area.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Charlene "Chick" Black of Galion; one daughter, Lois Cherbonneau of Mt. Gilead; three grandchildren, Stephen Black of Perrysburg, Shelly (Marvin) Hart of Mt. Gilead and Rob (Tammy) Rose of Martel; five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to her regular visitors, nieces, Kathleen, Pearl and Betty, nephew, Gale and her neighbor, Nancy, and for the excellent care received at Galion Pointe Nursing Center.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 with Pastor James Short officiating. Burial will be in Caledonia Cemetery.
