Thomas "Chico" Rodriguez Jr., 66, of Galion passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 26, 2014 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born October 12, 1947 in Chicago and was the son of Thomas Rodriquez Sr. and Rosa (Solano) Rodriguez.
Chico was raised in Galion by his uncle and aunt, Ralph and Beatrice Rodriguez. He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1967, served in the United States Army
during Vietnam and worked at Covert Manufacturing and Eagle Crusher. Chico was a life member of Galion VFW
Post 4329, Galion AMVETS and American Legion Scarbrough Post 243. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing in his own boat; especially fishing trips with his brother Sam at Millercreek State Park in Marshall, Ill.
He is survived by daughters Rosa (Robert) Shepherd of Willard and Rachel Jeffrey of Greenwood, Ind.; son Jose' (Kristina) Rodriguez of Noblesville, Ind; grandchildren Andrew, Izic, Alex, Kanden, Lorenzo, Amelia and Julian; two brothers and five sisters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by grandson Kolton and a sister MaryLou Rodriguez.
Friends may call Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel in Galion where services will be held at Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Ron Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the United States Army and Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
