Danny T. Barker, 60, of Galion, died Monday, March 3, 2014 after battling a lengthy illness.
Danny was born in Alliance, OH on February 8, 1954 to the late William Barker and Ruth (Rouse) Barker who survives in Crestline.
Danny worked for many years as a mechanic and previously as a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Scarborough Post # 243 Galion, VFW Post # 79 Galion and the Galion AMVETS Post # 1979. He loved working on cars and fishing. He loved his family, especially his daughter who will always be his little girl.
He is survived by his daughter Misty Barker of Columbus, his granddaughter Savannah Pennington of Columbus, his grandson Logan Glass of Mansfield, his two sisters Judy (Ron) Busler of Iberia and Connie (Ned) Jacobs of Crestline, and his three brothers; Richard (Jennifer) Barker of Galion, Jim (Jayne) Barker of Crestline and Bob (Fran) Barker of Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his son Danny W. Lawhorn-Barker and his two brothers Donald "Doc" and Jerry Barker.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 6, 2014 at 10 AM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in care of the funeral home.
