Derhonda Mae "Ronnie" Hoffman, 61, of Galion, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at home after a brief illness.
Born May 25, 1952 in Greeneville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William F. and Ruby (Najar) Prosser. She married John Hoffman on May 8, 1971 and he survives.
She was a graduate of Chuckey Doak High School in Greeneville, Tenn. She formerly worked at Geauga Plastics, was canteen manager at Amvets Post 30 and later was a health care aide for Home Care Network. Ronnie was a lifetime member of Crestline VFW Post 2920 Auxiliary and a member of Galion Eagles Aerie 630. She was an avid card player, gambler, liked going to casinos, traveling, sharing stories with friends and being around her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Pauline Hoffman and Greg and Angie Hoffman, all of Galion; one daughter, Tara Hoffman of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Kylie McIe, Carson McIe, Kelsey Hoffman, Cayden Hoffman, Blake Hoffman, Nate Gregory, Ashbee Clark and Justin (Michelle) Gregory; two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jack; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Kyle Prosser, Jack and Kim Prosser, Billy and Christa Prosser and Paul and Connie Prosser, all of Galion; eight sisters and seven brothers-in-law, Dreama and Rob Krantz of Jacksonville, Fla., Joyce and Jim Lewis of Galion, Judy and Jesse Moore of Virginia, Debbie and Larry Austin of Mansfield, Crystal and Terry Wilcox of Galion, Laura and Jerry Burgan of Galion, Paula and Phil Alden of Marion and Cindy Wolfel of Galion and stepmother, Helen Prosser of Galion.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion. No funeral services will be held.
