Eunice M. Ronk, 86, of Crestline, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
Born Oct. 11, 1926 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lyman and Goldie Mae (Garverick) Chubb. She was preceded in death on Sept. 16, 2000 by her husband, George J. Ronk, whom she married on May 2, 1953.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1944 and a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Galion; Eagles Aerie 859 Auxiliary in Crestline; Women of the Moose, Chapter 177 in Galion; Ohio Trooper Coalition and I.T.P.A. Eunice and her husband served as Grand Marshall of the Crestline Harvest Festival Parade in 1994 and she also was a former Girl Scout leader for 12 years.
She worked as an operator at the former Ohio Telephone and later GTE Telephone in Galion for 25 years. She also helped her husband in the family business, Ronk's Auto & Truck Towing in Crestline.
She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Judy Sanders of Galion, Cindy and Bill Buxton of Mansfield and Melanie Baker of Mansfield; one son, Jole Ronk of Crestline; thirteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and George Jr. Ronk; two grandsons and six sisters, Lois Sherer, Doris Mains, Nellie Ruth, Bertha Mathison, Gracie Chubb and Betty Chubb.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 with Pastor Jerry Penrod, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
An Eagles Auxiliary memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday during calling hours at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home.
