Frederick W "Fred" Andrews (1929 - 2014)

Frederick W. "Fred" Andrews, 84, of Rural Morrow County, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Shelby Point Nursing Facility, following a lengthy illness.

Fred was born on June 20, 1929, in Bellville, to Frank and Emma Jensen Andrews. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Pillsbury for over 30 years, and was known for his good/hard work ethics. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed gardening and watching the birds. He especially loved his family.

He is survived by wife, Helena, whom he married on February 14, 1955. Also surviving are two children, Frederick "Keith" (Norma) Andrews of Galion, and Kay Andrews of Merrill, WI; two grandchildren, Jamie Diane Andrews of Ashland, and Joseph Paul Andrews of Seattle, WA; and four siblings, Dorothy Nye of Shelby, Janette "Janie" Bobbenhouse of AZ, Lois Graham of CA, and Harry Andrews of Waverly, OH.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Jensen.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Oakgrove Memorial Park, with Rabbi William Hallbrook officiating.
