Larry L. Garberich, 70, of 6 Locust St., Crestline, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East, Columbus, OH after a lengthy illness.
Larry was born in Galion, OH on August 4, 1942 to the late Lloyd and Iva (Auman) Garberich. He married Linda L. Sulser on September 16, 1967 and she survives him.
Larry was retired as a Patrolman from the City of Galion Police Department where he served for 25 years. He served in the U. S. Army as a Military Police Officer in Germany. He was a graduate of DeVry Electronic School. He was a member of the Galion Eagles Aerie # 630 and the Galion AMVETS Post # 1979.
He is survived by his daughter Lori & Jay Smith of Gahanna and his son Larry & Jen Garberich of Bedford, four granddaughters, Samantha & Kristen Smith and Kathryn & Emily Garberich, a niece Teresa Porter of Mansfield and a cousin Sharon & Denis Kempf, Crestline.
Friends may call Friday, March 8, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Mike Corwin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion. Military honors will be held at the graveside by the U.S. Army and the Galion/Crestline Veterans Organizations.
