Grace Lucille (Webber) Harvey (1929 - 2013)

Grace Lucille (Kindler) (Webber) Harvey went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, September 14 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky.
Grace was born November 16, 1929 at Aunt Zenobia Vanderkooi's house on North Market Street in Galion. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Miller Kindler and Clara Leola Sherman. Grace was loving and strong at a very young age helping with the care of her siblings and then beginning her own family at age fifteen.
Grace first married Cecil Clarence Webber on August 23, 1945 in Higginson, Arkansas. Together they had six sons, Charles Fred (Su / Chin Su Shin) Webber of San Angelo, Texas, Cecil Leo (Rita Martin) Webber of Galion, Jim (Laura Rinehart) Webber of Mount Gilead, Sam (Debbie Klinger) Webber of Chatteroy, Washington, Jerry (Tammy Anderson) Webber of Marion, and Ernie (Chastity Powers) Webber of Galion. In addition to being a homemaker, Grace did the bookkeeping for the various family business enterprises which included a taxi service, trash hauling service, and wrecker service.
Grace remarried on May 1, 1976 to John Charles Harvey who preceded her in death on December 11, 2012 following 26 years of marriage. Two step-sons were added to the family with this marriage, David (Barbara) Harvey of Virginia and Roger Harvey of Marion. Grace continued being a homemaker and bookkeeper for their residential rentals and storage lot business.
In addition to her husband and parents, Grace was preceded by three brothers, Orville Kindler, Jackie Kindler, Eddie Kindler and three sisters, Louis Mae Kindler, Ida Mae Pierce and Yvonne Kindler.
She leaves a legacy of 74 combined family members of children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Frank Kindler of Wyoming and two sisters Opal (Harold) Branham of Milford and Betty (Dave) Baldinger of Galion.
Grace adored her family and loved every moment of the family gatherings. In her spare time, she loved raising cockatiels, guppies, swordtail fish guppies, banty chickens, gardening, and camping. In her younger years, she also went on hunting trips to Wyoming with her family and friends and bagged her own game. Grace loved to play her Hawaiian Steel guitar and was an avid filmmaker of family home movies.
Her family will miss her big smile, warm heart, and eager hugs and kisses. XOXOXO
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September. 17, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 18 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 19, at Rivercliff Cemetery in Mt. Gilead.
