Ilene Mae (Young) Iiams, 68, passed away peacefully Monday, December 24th at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.
Ilene was born in Galion, Ohio and resided in Ocala, Florida after relocating from Mansfield, Ohio in 2011.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 51 years, Robert "Bob" Iiams; four children, Kimberly "Kim" (John) Woosley, Robert "Rob" Iiams, Rodney "Rod" (Ruth Ann) Iiams, Heather Iiams (Jimmy Lane); three siblings, Larry (Doris) Young, Barb (Sam) Ramsey, Sandy (Tony) Mullins. Ilene has fifteen grandchildren, Megean, Pleas, Sarah, Kimmy, Amber, Levi, Caleb, Jerry, Rachel, Katie, Becky, Zach, Rodney, Nicole, Jeremy.
She also has twenty-one great-grandchildren as well as five nieces and four nephews. Ilene was predeceased by her mother, Wilma Drown; father, Clarence Young; nephews, Mick Sipes and Bubb Young; great-grandson, Rodney Iiams Jr.
Ilene was a homemaker who at different times in her life enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting, antiqueing, reading, playing computer games, and solving word search puzzles.
Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association.
There will be no service at this time.
