Mary T. Morales, 83, of Galion, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion.
Born May 26, 1929 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Pauline (Rodriguez) Morales.
She was a graduate of Galion High School and a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mary worked in the payroll department at the former Perfection-Cobey Company and was a member of Business and Professional Women in Galion, a member of Galion Homemakers and was active in The Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by one niece and spouse, Sylvia Smith and Steven Chorpening of Fairlawn and one nephew, Tom Morales of Albuquerque, N.M.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Carmela Smith and two brothers, Paul "Curly" Morales and Frank J. Morales.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Miller, celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Galion.
A vigil service will held at 7:45 p.m. Monday, May 6 with Deacon Greg Kirk.
