Patricia S. Wittibslager, 76, of Galion, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion after failing health.
Born July 2, 1936 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Williams) Coughlin. She was preceded in death on Jan. 15, 1993 by her husband, John R. Wittibslager whom she married on Nov. 20, 1955.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1954 and attended Christ United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. Pat was the executive director of the Galion Chapter of the American Red Cross for many years. She taught Red Cross swimming lessons and managed and served as a life guard at Heise Park Pool. She was most passionate about her family and loved Galion and everything about it.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Dave Stark of Tiffin; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Tracie Wittibslager of Galion; five grandchildren, Miranda (Gabe) Monk, Abbie (Chad) Phelps, Megan (Brian) Campbell, Rob (Jessica) Jarvis and Katie (Steve) Monroe and eight great-grandchildren, Haley, Adyson, Seth, Liam, Kylie, Madelyn, Hannah and Wyatt.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. June 14, with Deacon Greg Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Galion Chapter of American Red Cross, 124 N. Union Street, Galion, Ohio 44833.
