Paul F. Seyfors, 91, of 308 North Pearl Street, Crestline, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Olentangy Woods, Galion, OH.
Paul was born in Crestline on December 21, 1921 to the late Frank F. and Bertha A. (Meinzer) Seyfors. He married Maxine E. Harshbarger on December 5, 1960 and she preceded him on May 27, 1990.
He was employed by the former Peabody Galion as a Machinist until retirement in 1986. He was a 1941 graduate of Crestline High School. Paul attended Calvary United Church of Christ, Crestline. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Harley-Helfrich VFW Post #2920, Crestline and American Legion Post #488, Crestline. Paul loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed attending Corey's baseball games and he was the official score keeper. He was always ready to help anyone. He loved to "tinker", work on cars and could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his two sons Michael & Janice Seyfors, Kingsville, TX and Ted Seyfors, Crestline; his four grandchildren: Thomas Seyfors, Kimberly Seyfors, Corey Seyfors and Robert Markwell; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Suzan Holland; his brother Albert Seyfors; and his sisters: Helen West, Beatrice "Nook" Host, Emma "Toots" Seyfors, Wilma "Butch" Snyder and Harriette Seyfors.
Friends may call Monday, February 25, 2013 from 12-2 pm at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Deacon Bill Horning officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force and the Crestline/Galion Area Service Organizations.
