Ruth C. Englehart, 84, of Galion, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Lexington Court Care Center.
Born Nov. 15, 1928 in Crestline, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsa (Oehler) McWhirter. She was preceded in death on Dec. 12, 2002 by her husband, Wilbert F. Englehart, whom she married April 10, 1954.
Ruth graduated from Crestline High School and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was a secretary at the former North Electric in Galion; a cost accountant at the former Galion Dresser and a legal secretary for Attorney Andrew Motter in Bucyrus.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Robert Stevens of Lexington and Lee Anne and Cipriano V. Morales of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren, Marc Stevens and his fiancé, Maribeth Giese, Eleanore and Hannah Stevens and Juan Pablo Morales; one niece, Kathy (Michael) Starkey of Marysville; a nephew, Richard McWhirter of Columbus and a sister-in-law, Wilma Human of Marysville.
In addition to her husband and parents Ruth was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Libby Renee Englehart; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lois McWhirter and a niece, Kathy Edens.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 with Pastor Richard Genzman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
