Lola M. (Brady) Chipps (1919 - 2014)

Lola M. Chipps, 94, of Lexington, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Lexington Court Care Center.

Lola was born in Galion, on December 15, 1919 to the late Earl and Bessie (Mann) Brady. She married Arthur Chipps in 1975 and he preceded her in death in 1986.

She was a 1937 graduate of Iberia High School. She was retired from ITT North Electric, Galion. Lola was a member of the Southview Baptist Church, Galion. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending Golden Age Center activities, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters: Mrs. Bernard (Judith) Tinch, Galion and Mrs. Michael (Lois) Barrett, Lexington; her twelve grandchildren: Debby, Kenny, Lori, Steve, Jeff, Sandy, Scott, Sherri, David, Tammy, Randy and Brian; her sixteen great grandchildren: Shannon, Shane, Joshua, Jason, Derek, Steven, Tyler, Leslie, Stuart, Nathan, Danny, Erin, Ashly, Correy, Matt and Michael; her nine great-great grandchildren: Trenton, Saylor, Jayden, Sophie, Kennedy, Dylan, Alex, Logan and Lincoln; her brother Carl & Shirley Brady, Iberia, and her sister-in-law Ruth Brady, Galion.

She was preceded in death by her three daughters Dixie Sherman, Linda (Sherman) Smith, and Rose (Sherman) Bartley, her son Randy Sherman, her grandsons Herbie Smith and Chris Tinch, her three sisters, and her seven brothers.

Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion where funeral services will be held at 1 PM with Randy Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.

Memorial contributions can be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America in care of the funeral home.
