Barbara Casey Lewis, age 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, November 11, 2012, after a six month illness.
She was the daughter of Earl and Kate Mitchell Casey and a graduate of Galion High School, class of 1944.
She was employed as a switchboard operator at the former North Electric Manufacturing Company, resigning to become a stay-at- home mother. She was a volunteer at Galion Community Hospital and later became employed at the hospital. After moving to Johnson City in 1979, she volunteered extensively at the VA hospital there. She is survived by her husband, Foster; two sons, Gary of Houston, Texas and David of Kennesaw, Georgia; and a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Ray Wilson, Jr. of Powell, Tennessee. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing computer games.
No funeral services will be held. A private memorial is planned for later..
