Dean S. Cronenwett, 93, of Galion, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Partners of Marion Nursing Center in Marion.
Born July 25, 1919, in Galion, he was the son of the late Otho Cronenwett and Hazel (Hartwell) Cronenwett. He married Lillian M. (Steiner) Cronenwett on July 3, 1941 and she survives.
Dean graduated from Galion High School in 1937 and worked at the former North Electric Company in Galion retiring in 1980 after 43 years in the Accounting Department. He was a member of Galion Elks Lodge 1191, Galion Masonic Lodge 414 Free and Accepted Masons and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and John Jerman of Lexington, Susan and Ken Williams of Marion; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Beth Cronenwett of Downers Grove, Ill. and eight grandchildren, Nancy Jerman, Anne Frederick, Amy Jerman, Benjamin Williams, Mariah Barnes, Andrew Williams, Brianne and Andrey Cronenwett; three great-granddaughters and one brother, Robert Cronenwett of 1Lakewood.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Cronenwett and one sister, Bernice Cronenwett.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday Feb. 14, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb.15, with Rev. Jared Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
