Christopher M. Cleveland, 16, of 1496 N. Market Street, Galion, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at his home.
Christopher was born in Mansfield on September 4, 1996 to Jeremy C. Cleveland of Galion and Heather L. (Nolen) Cleveland of Crestline.
He was a sophomore at Galion High School where he played football, baseball and wrestled. Along with teaching MatCats (youth wrestling), he also enjoyed training with his father for the MMA. Christopher also enjoyed strength training at the Galion YMCA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Jordan Cleveland and his brother Christian Cleveland, both at home, grandparents Kimberly and Andrew Corwin of Crestline and Sharon and Richard Stark of Lucas; great-grandmothers, Juanita Nolen of Crestline, Beverly Cleveland of Trumansburg, NY, and Vera Mae Reese of Mansfield; his coaches and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Conner Cleveland; and grandfather, William Cleveland.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Galion First Church of The Nazarene, 777 Fairview Avenue, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Galion First Church of The Nazarene, 777 Fairview Avenue, Galion, with Pastor Chris Stewart and Reverend Brandon Quail officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline. Memorial contributions may be made to Galion Youth Football in care of the funeral home.
