Alexander E. Velikoff, 55, of Findlay died at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born on July 30, 1957 in Crestline, Ohio to Alexander E. and Marilyn E. (Sherer) Velikoff. On July 12, 1980 he married Anne Hartman and she survives in Findlay.
Alex is also survived by his mother, Marilyn Velikoff of Port Clinton, Ohio, two daughters; Caroline (Jesse) Capone of Seattle, Washington and Miranda Velikoff of Ann Arbor, Michigan, sister Sharon Velikoff of Port Clinton, Ohio and two brothers; Mike (Jeannie) Velikoff of Taylor Mill, Kentucky and John Velikoff of Boise, Idaho.
Alex worked at Marathon Petroleum since 1999. He enjoyed bike riding, wine making, and loved to solve problems and tinker with about anything. Family was extremely important to Alex and he was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend.
Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 128 W. Hardin Street, Findlay, Ohio, and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Alex to the Bridge Hospice Care Center, 1900 S. Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Condolences may be sent via www.coldrencrates.com.
