Thelma L. (Turner) Schill Lee, 97, of Galion and Mt. Vernon died Saturday, May 11, in Mt. Vernon.
Born Nov. 12, 1915 in Marion, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Picklesimer) Turner. She married John C. Schill in 1932 and he preceded her in death. She was also married to the late Daryl Lee.
She was a Member of the CrossWay Assembly of God in Galion and was active in Women's Aglow and Adult Bible Study. She marveled at nature's beauty and loved to read and often said "I've traveled the world in my books."
Thelma was a sales consultant for women's clothing at various department stores in Columbus, Texas and California.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy (Tom) Reddy, Chattanooga, Tenn. and Jackie Biddle, Galion; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ken Schill; one grandson, Johnny Schill; three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16 with Father Frederick Schill officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery in Shelby.
